Le Leche League GB – International breastfeeding advocacy organization offering 24 hour breastfeeding support helpline, resources and information.
Baby Milk Action – Baby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding. Baby Milk Action works within a global network to strengthen independent, transparent and effective controls on the marketing of the baby feeding industry.
International Baby Food Network Global information consisting of public interest groups working around the world to reduce infant and young child morbidity and mortality.
The Breastfeeding Network – UK breastfeeding resource.
Association of Breastfeeding Mothers Breastfeeding charity that provides free online, telephone and councillor support round-the-clock. A terrific resource.
Jane’s Breastfeeding and Childbirth Resources – a UK site with related information and resources.
Breastfeeding MOMS – US site of mum’s on a mission to distribute education and support for those moms on a mission in providing the best for their children.

Woman to Mother – Good UK site from a woman who offers holistic childbirth preparation classes.

NATURAL BIRTH SITES
HypnoBirthing® UK – self hypnosis for labour and childbirth
The official UK site for HypnoBirthing® – The Mongan Method. Packed with information about HypnoBirthing®, lots of birth stories, how to request details of your nearest HypnoBirthing® classes, and discussion boards to chat to others mums and practitioners about HypnoBirthing®.
The Good Birth Company- An NCT Antenatal teacher who hires out birth pools. Her mission is to provide great quality pools at low enough prices so that more women have the choice to give birth in water.

Birth Choice UK – This non-commercial website is aimed at pregnant women in the UK to help them choose where to give birth. Women are encouraged to think about the sort of birth they would like, using research-based information.
HomeBirth Reference Site – Angela Horn’s (ARM) comprehensive site on homebirth for all the information you’re looking for.
Homebirth UK – devoted to providing information about homebirth in the UK, including personal experiences and relevant laws.
Nicky Menzies Homebirth Site – a home page with relating information.
Easy Birth, Hypnotherapy Clinic – David Kato of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts and International Medical & Dental Hypnotherapy Association offers hypnosis solutions for birthing women.
Belly Journal – Website promoting a beautiful pregnancy journal which features a collection of poetry, prose and art around the themes of pregnancy, birth and early motherhood.
Plan Baby – Site for parents who would like to maximise their chances of conceiving the gender they want. Using biorhythms as a natural gender-selecting method and offering a free comprehensive review of methods to combine on top of their own.
ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION SITES
Sudbury Valley School – The original Democratic or “Free” School in the USA – fascinating information and free texts on this alternative form of education whose time seems to have come at last!
Davis Training UK – Davis Training UK provides training programmes for those wishing to help others using the Davis Dyslexia Correction methods. These include the professional Davis Facilitator Licensing Programme. The Davis approach is unique in that it views dyslexia as primarily a perceptual talent and not a lifelong learning disability.
Dyslexia – The Gift – Site of the Davis Dyslexia Association International. Describes the Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme, a revolutionary new approach to dyslexia which uses modelling clay as a medium through which confusing language symbols can be mastered using the perceptual gifts of the dyslexic mind.
Brockwood School (UK) – Founded by educator and philosopher J.Krishnamurti in 1969, Brockwood Park is an international community residential school, situated on a large English country estate. Students and teachers live, work, play and inquire together, caring for the estate and each other.
Waldorf World – Well maintained US site on Waldorf Education and resources (formerly Bob and Nancy’s Homepage).
Rudolf Steiner Press – UK site offering publications by and about Rudolf Steiner, Anthroposophy, Eurythmy and more.

Home Education Advisory Service – UK home school resources.
Free Range Education – Good site for home educators. It’s full of local contact details, ideas, events and resources. The site also offers the free e-mail ‘AskFREd’ service which puts you in touch with experienced home educators who will do their best to answer your questions, and the ‘AskFREd Legal’ service, giving free access to qualified legal help.
Anthroposophy Network – A resource for parent’s interested in Steiner/Waldorf Education and further philosophical information on Rudolf Steiner.
– UK-based membership organisation which provides support and information for families whose children are being educated outside school, and for those who wish to uphold the freedom of families to take proper responsibility for the education of their children.
MIDWIFERY SITES
Association of Independent Midwives (UK) – Independent Midwives are fully qualified midwives who, in order to practice the midwife’s role to its fullest extent, have chosen to work outside the NHS in a self employed capacity, although we support its aims and ideals.
Andrya Prescott Independent Midwife – Home birth stories as well as articles and information about birthing. I am an Independent Midwife in the UK offering dedicated supportive midwifery care to families.
Safe Hands Independant Midwives – This site explores a service for providing truly holistic individualised continuous care for women who want a homebirth. They are self-employed midwives who recently left the NHS because they couldn’t provide continuity of care for women and families wanting a natural, gentle birth at home.

Vaccine Awareness Network – UK volunteer run site promoting information on vaccine safety and awareness. Good information.
Whaleto – Comprehensive UK site packed full of information on Vaccinations and related topics. Highly Recommended.
Desumo – This site was set up by parents in response to the controversy of the MMR vaccine. It provides information and access to the individual vaccines as an alternative to the combined MMR vaccine.
NATURAL HEALTH SITES
Female Health Source – A comprehensive website covering all areas of women’s health. Recommended.
Super Healthy Kids – No more chronic infections, allergies, or sickly kids!
Ground-breaking new report provides valuable information on boosting your child’s immune system to prevent disease.
Soy Information Service (NZ) – Group providing information on the dangers of soy infant formula.
The Cot Life Society – Site aimed to inform parents of definitive cause of cot death and how it can be easily and inexpensively prevented.A non funded, non profit making organisation, our only Aim is to let the public know about cot mattress wrapping and it’s life saving qualities.
Natural Family Planning UK site with information on alternative methods of birth control.
Norm-UK – crucial information on circumcision.
Child Dental Care -A site providing information on caring for children’s teeth. Only UK supplier of xylitol chewing gum. Xylitol is a natural substance extracted from birch that dramatically reduces decay. It is backed by proper peer reviewed clinical trials and recommended by the International Federation of Dental Research.

The Doula Association – UK doulas offering their support and services for labouring and postpartum women. They also offer training for anyone looking become a doula. Wonderful!

Nurture by Nature Network – A natural birth and parenting organization that offers families e-mail loops, playgroups, support groups, e-newsletters, a quarterly publication, and more. Working to further the cause of instinctive and research-based parenting.

hip Mama – US magazine site, covering everything from postpartum depression to nipple piercings and breastfeeding,
The Compleat Mother – Excellent US magazine site for the purpose of promoting natural, enjoyable, vaginal birth and extended breastfeeding.
The Rebozo Way a non-profit educational project now based in the US, after working informally out of Mexico for the first 12 years. They provide information on traditional ways of birthing, family and community relationships, and on in-arms and attachment/continuum parenting.
Mothering Magazine – US magazine site dedicated to natural family living.
The Liedloff Continuum Network – a US attachment parenting organization and more.
Loving Attachment -US single Mother run business devoted to Natural Parenting with a big Emphasis on Breastfeeding.
BestFed, a attachment parenting site with good links in the US.
Natural Child Project – US site devoted to promoting nurturing parenting. Lots of resources.

UK Pagan Parents – A community for pagan parents and families in the UK.
Tree Hugger Mums – A parenting site offering an alternative view of pregnancy and parenting. Information and advice on pre-conception, pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond, as well as women’s health and WAHM businesses. Discussion forum.
Natural Nurturing Network – A Nation-wide Support Network for parents who practice attachment parenting.

International Vasa Praevia Foundation – Information on this easily but rarely diagnosed potentially fatal pregnancy complication.
Baby Chatter – Baby names, meanings and origins. Free baby stuff, coupons and special offers.
ParentsDB – A growing interactive resource for Parents dedicated to Parenting. Parents can ask and answer questions on topics that Parents care about.

The Vegan Family A Scottish vegan family offer information and advice on vegan parenting and related subjects – message board too for support and chat..Great site loaded with information.

InnerSanctuary.co.uk – The Lifeline charity helps victims of child abuse, domestic violence and incest.
Mums Connected – Online mothers’ group where mums with babies and toddlers can meet and email each other directly. It is for mums with new babies, or those who have moved to a new area or any mum who wants to meet more mums in their local area.
All Kids – Extensive parenting/child directory with topical interests featured on the Home Page. Large kid’s section with plenty of links to educational and safe fun sites for toddlers through to big kids. UK site.
Brighton Baby – Parenting web site, containing articles, home made baby food recipes, freebies and more.
Parent’s Cafe – A relaxed community where you can chat, get advice, buy/sell and meet new parents. They hold two competitions a month and the chat room has sound as well as emoticons for you to use.
Tamalyn’s Baby Names – Full of baby names, including Welsh, Afghanistan and Indian Baby names, breastfeeding tips, home-made baby recipes, message board, articles, checklists, baby books & clothes.
999 Baby Names – Helping you find the Perfect Baby Name in Minutes, plus information on how buy Baby Products and Services at Wholesale Prices.
Baby-Parenting.com – Useful information and cool tools – baby name search, pregnancy calendar, message boards and much more. Dodge the pop-ups though!
Signing Babies – Baby Signing is catching on in the UK and has gained some recent media coverage. It is using a few simple signs borrowed from genuine sign language to communicate with a baby before he/she can speak. So for instance, a baby can ask for milk or food using hand gestures to communicate such needs. Adele Marshall runs baby signing workshops in Plymouth and Devon.

Family Rapp – Online UK parenting magazine. A reference point for parents: informative parenting articles and directories of days out, family holidays, book reviews, drug help, education, recipes, health and shopping.
Berkshire Born – Provides an active forum for parents & carers to buy and sell their good quality baby goods at prices lower than retail. Information contains details on local classes, groups, nurseries and a whole range of parent/baby concepts like music sessions, alternative health etc

Birth Choice UK – This non-commercial website is aimed at pregnant women in the UK to help them choose where to give birth. Premature Babies – This site is owned by a mother of a premature baby who offers her experience, advice and resources to other parents of premies.
